Climashield is a range of Australian made, Low E Laminates designed for comfortable living while maintaining a high light transmission. Be warmer in winter, reducing heat loss through windows by up to 40%* and stay cooler in summer, reducing heat gain through windows by up to 50%⁺.

Utilising a low emissivity, pyrolytic coating for high light transmission and greater insulation, the Climashield range offers greater comfort, with more efficient climate control year round. It is available in clear, neutral, green, grey, translucent, or customised to your individual requirements, in 6.38mm - 12.38mm thicknesses.

Climashield also offers 99% reduction in UV Transmission, reducing fading of carpets and furniture due to short-wave ultra violet waves.

Points to Note:

Condensation

Climashield is not designed to prevent surface condensation. Should this occur the insulating properties will be reduced. Insulglass IGU’s are recommended in these instances.

Thermal Stress

All performance glass may also be subject to thermal stress, and we recommend a thermal assessment analysis is carried out. This assessment considers glass type, frame type, glazing method. To confirm if the glass selected for your project is at risk of thermal stress, please complete the attached questionnaire, and fax to (03) 9730 7488.

Edge Protection

Laminated glass products must be glazed to protect the interlayer from direct exposure to the elements. Water and moisture can affect the interlayer, causing product breakdown and potentially impact on the structural integrity. Incorrect glazing will also void any warranties.

Low E Coating

Climashield has a special coating that provides thermal and solar properties, and therefore does not have the same appearance or surface as regular float glass. A small degree of haze may be observed under certain light conditions.
