Points to Note:

Condensation

As we heat or cool our home or building, we increase the risk of condensation. This is formed when warm moist air comes into contact with the colder surface of glass giving the appearance of moisture. When using Insulglass units condensation is significantly reduced as the inner pane remains substantially warmer than when using single glazing.

Cleaning & Handling

Insulglass Max units require additional care when handling, installing and cleaning. Please click here for a copy of our cleaning and handling recommendations.

Installation & Glazing

A high percentage of IGU’s fail due to improper glazing techniques. It is most commonly characterized by the appearance of moisture inside the unit. The glazing system must be designed to drain out all the water in the rebate to ensure water isn’t trapped against the edge of the glass, causing exposure to the sealant or desiccant.
Thermal Stress

All performance glass may also be subject to thermal stress, and we recommend a thermal assessment analysis is carried out. This assessment considers glass type, frame type, glazing method. To confirm if the glass selected for your project is at risk of thermal stress, please complete the attached questionnaire, and fax to (03) 9730 7488.

Low E Coating

Low E products have a special coating that provides thermal and solar properties, and therefore does not have the same appearance or surface as regular float glass. A small degree of haze may be observed under certain light conditions if this glass type is used in your unit.
Maximum Size

Insulglass Max is available to a maximum size of 3660 x 2440mm
